No : KMRL/HR/2024-25/16, Dated (04.03.2025) Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) a 50:50 Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Kerala incorporated for the implementation of the Kochi Metro Rail project and for its projects. The construction activities of Phase II works of KMRL, from JLN Stadium Metro Station to Info Park covering approx. 11 km and having 11 stations has commenced. KMRL is the executing agency for the Kochi Water Metro Project – an integrated Water Transport System that was envisaged with the objective of connecting the mainland with the islands, around the Kochi lagoon, through Modern Water Transport system. The project is conceived as an environmental friendly, modern urban transport system with 15 identified routes over 76 km of route length. As per the Project Report, (being funded by KfW, Germany and Govt. of Kerala), on completion, with a fleet of 78 boats and 38 terminals, Kochi Water Metro Project would be the second largest water transport system next to only Venice. For augmenting the Kochi Water Metro project ,KMRL intends to fill up the following post:- 1. Executive (Marine)-E1 Name of the Post Executive (Marine) Total no. of Posts One (1) Grade/ Pay scale E1, Rs 40000-140000 (IDA) Type of Recruitment On contract basis for a period of three years extendable for further period of two years based on the satisfactory performance and requirement Essential Qualification B.Tech/B.E in Marine/Mechanical Engineering from recognized University/Institute . Experience Minimum 3 Years of post-qualification experience in ports/shipyards/boatyards/harbor/ships Experience in fabrication, installation and commissioning of marine systems such as hull, machineries, piping systems is preferable.
